10 Time Saving Hacks MOMS Can’t Miss!

Saving time takes work, but boy is it worth it! It takes preparation to save time and done right, you can become EXTREMELY EFFICIENT! I had to SHARE my absolute favorites!! What are some of your favorite ways to save time? Let us know in the comments! I’m sure we could all learn a new trick!

  1. Stop wasting time looking for things you use often, like scissors, reading glasses, or baby wipes. Keep duplicates in the rooms where you spend the most time. via babycenter.com
  2. Turn your hangers backward at the beginning of every season. Anything left hanging on a backward hanger at the end of the season hasn’t been worn – give it away! via babycenter.com
  3. Designate 30 minutes after dinner for cleaning. Get everyone involved in doing dishes and cleaning up clutter. via babycenter.com
  4. Chop all your vegetables and herbs for the week’s meals at one time so everything will be ready for cooking. via babycenter.com
  5. A trip to the grocery store used to take half a Saturday, but now I do it on my lunch hour, shopping quickly and efficiently with a shopping list in hand. I store the perishables in the refrigerator at my office until I go home, and since my commute is 45 minutes, I use a cooler in the car.” — Midge via babycenter.com
  6. Do as much as you possibly can the night before. Set out clothes for the next day — both for yourself and for your child. Pack lunches. Make sure diaper bags, backpacks and work satchels are completely packed and ready to go. via today.com
  7. When packing lunches for school, do it the night before with your kids’ help. This will save you precious morning time and increase the odds that the food you bother to pack will actually be eaten. via today.com
  8. Have places and times for key items and tasks. If you’re constantly tripping over shoes, losing library books or running late in the mornings because your kids can’t find their backpacks, homework or school books, something’s got to change. It may be time to institute a system for packing up backpacks with all necessary contents and leaving them by the door before bedtime — no exceptions. via today.com
  9. Create and Organize a Family Calendar! Electronic is okay too, as long as you can easily access it! I keep mine on the wall by the door. via parents.com
  10. Presort the Family Laundry. Forget sorting your families laundry, get them a washer-and-dryer-safe mesh bag for dark and light laundry! Wash, dry and return, VOILA! via realsimple.com
